About Camouflage DNS
Camouflage DNS focuses on the public side of a domain: website addresses, aliases, verification text and certificate permissions. We help site owners read the answers a name currently returns. This is a DNS inspection tool, not an anonymity service or a complete security audit.
Public DNS observatory
DNS is a public directory. Checking an exact name helps you understand what it exposes—and what a lookup cannot tell you.
- TXT — Review verification text
- CAA — Check certificate permissions
- NS — Identify nameservers
Where the answers come from
The Camouflage DNS server sends queries to Google Public DNS. The interface presents each answer’s name, type, data and TTL. Downloaded files contain the results already displayed on the page and do not trigger another lookup.
What this service does not do
We do not manage your domain, request your DNS account password or modify any records. We do not promise worldwide propagation coverage, automatic repairs or availability of the services behind a domain.
